Passport and visa
Passport and visa are needed for entrance into China. A formal invitation will be issued by the forum secretariat upon receiving of the registration form, with which an entrance visa will be applied at the Chinese embassy in the country where the applicant domiciles or at the Chinese consulate nearby.
Currency
The Chinese currency has a decimal system with units such as Yuan, Jiao and Fen. Banks have various exchange policy. The traveler's cheques and foreign currency could be exchange into Chinese currency at the published rate on the day in the office of Bank of China (within the working hours) or at the exchange counter in the hotel. Credit card is accepted in the hotel and some of travelling spots. The current exchange rate is about 7.6 RMB for one USD.
Power supply
Generally, the power supply of 220 V, 50 Hz is used in China. There are converters between 110 V and 220 V available in some hotels. The 110 V avaiable in the hotel is only provided for shaving.
